Fit and size
How a running shoe should fit.
Leave about a thumb's width between your longest toe and the end of the shoe: feet swell and slide forward on long runs and downhills.
The heel should stay put without rubbing, and the midfoot should feel held, not squeezed. Width matters as much as length.
Try shoes in the afternoon, with your running socks. Sizes vary between brands, so trust the fit, not the number.
Your size in one brand isn't your size in another: test it.
