Threshold
Train the edge where fatigue starts to pile up.
Threshold is the intensity where lactate starts building faster than your body clears it: roughly the pace you could race for one hour.
Running in blocks just at that edge, such as 3 × 10 minutes with 2 minutes' easy jogging, pushes the edge to faster paces.
Go slightly too slow rather than too fast: threshold should feel hard but repeatable.
The pace you could hold for an hour, in blocks.
Quick check .
Roughly what pace is threshold?
Train it in blocks, like 3 × 10 minutes; better slightly under than over.
