Hill repeats
Strength training disguised as running.
Short, strong uphill efforts of 30 to 90 seconds, jogging back down to recover.
They build leg strength and power with less impact than flat speedwork, and naturally improve your form: shorter steps, knees up, arms driving.
Start with 6 to 8 repeats once a week.
Hills are speedwork with less pounding.
